Litigation Paralegal

Position Overview
My client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in managing litigation cases, from initial filing to trial preparation, ensuring all legal processes are executed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in preparation for trials and hearings by organizing case files and evidence
Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Manage case calendars and ensure deadlines are met for filings and responses
Coordinate eDiscovery processes, including document review and production
Prepare for and attend depositions and trials, providing support to attorneys
File documents with court and maintain accurate court filing records
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and provide updates on case status

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal setting
Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on litigation
Strong knowledge of Texas State Courts and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Proficient in case management software and eDiscovery tools, including Relativity and Livenote
Excellent drafting and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Certification as a paralegal (e.g., NALA or NFPA certification) is a plus
