We're a well-established, full-service, fire protection subcontractor with a long history of success. Currently, we have an office in College Station, TX that is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Designer to join a design team of 4 members. This position is open due to growth and is an on-site full-time role with occasional remote flexibility.

We will help relocate the right candidate.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you'll prepare layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, diagrams, and sketches needed for a successful installation process.

- Accurately design fire protection systems while meeting deadlines
- Review work orders and procedural manuals to determine the dimensions of the design
- Convert design dimensions to resizing dimensions
- Submit designs for approval and obtain permits
- Make final sketches of drawings
- Design large warehouse remodels that require surveys
- Some new construction with BIM Coordination

What You Need for this Position

- 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Experience with AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD or SprinkCAD
- Strong knowledge of relevant NFPA Codes

- Navisworks experience is a PLUS
- BIM Coordination experience is a PLUS
- Project management experience is a PLUS - estimating, scheduling, client meetings, change orders, etc.
