Low Voltage Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Low Voltage Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating costs for low voltage electrical systems, ensuring accurate and competitive bids for our projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as proficiency in industry-specific software and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for low voltage systems.
  • Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop competitive bidding proposals.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Accubid to streamline the estimating process.
  • Conduct site visits to gather necessary information and assess project conditions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and local codes including IBC and NFPA.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an estimator in the low voltage electrical field.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems including fire alarms and CCTV.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, preferably Accubid.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam.
