Electrical Estimator
Position Overview
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with electrical construction projects. This role requires a keen understanding of electrical systems, commercial construction processes, and the ability to analyze project plans and specifications to provide detailed cost analysis and bid proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
- Prepare accurate and detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Utilize estimation software such as PlanSwift and EBM for take-offs and bid preparation.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Analyze bid documents and prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and constraints.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and cost control measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction industry, preferably in commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design-build processes, and estimation techniques.
- Proficiency in estimation software, particularly PlanSwift and EBM.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
