Position: Jr. Electrical Estimator

The Jr. Electrical Estimator will assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for electrical construction projects in various industries, including commercial, industrial, K-12, government, data centers, and healthcare. The ideal candidate will have experience with Accubid and Livecount software and a strong understanding of electrical construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
Utilize Accubid and Livecount software to accurately estimate labor, materials, and equipment costs
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop project bids
Create detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns for various electrical construction projects
Attend project site visits and meetings to gather information and assess project scope
Participate in bid review meetings and make necessary revisions to bids
Maintain accurate and organized bid files and documentation
Assist in the preparation of change orders and cost estimates for ongoing projects
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in materials and labor costs

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience as an estimator in the electrical construction industry
Strong knowledge of Accubid and Livecount software
Experience with commercial, industrial, K-12, government, data centers, and healthcare projects
Understanding of electrical construction processes and terminology
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
