Controls Service Technician
In the Carolinas and across North America, we have improved the efficiency, comfort, security, and dependability of thousands of buildings since the 90s for owners, operators, and occupiers. With over 500 personnel spread over ten locations, we provide services across the Carolinas. 

To serve our clients around North America, we have a carefully screened list of subcontractor partners and in-house project managers outside of the Carolinas. To service their whole North American portfolios, we are the go-to supplier for many of the biggest hotel chains, banks, utilities, and businesses in the country.

 


Position Overview
The Controls Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of building automation and HVAC control systems. This role ensures that systems operate efficiently and effectively to provide a comfortable environment while optimizing energy consumption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure building automation systems and HVAC controls.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations during installations.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on system operations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other technicians on system upgrades and installations.
  • Document service work and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in building automation, HVAC systems, and DDC controls.
  • Strong knowledge of various control systems, including Johnson Controls, Trane, Honeywell, and Siemens.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols such as N2 and N4.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications in HVAC or building automation systems preferred.
