Senior Category Analyst

Position Overview
The Senior Category Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving category growth through strategic analysis and insights. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize category performance and support decision-making processes that enhance overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analysis of category performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop category plans and promotional strategies.
Utilize data analytics tools to derive insights from consumer behavior and market trends.
Prepare and present reports using PowerPoint to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Manage relationships with customer accounts to understand their specific needs and align category strategies accordingly.
Analyze sales data and performance metrics to make informed recommendations for product assortments and pricing strategies.
Stay updated on CPG industry trends and competitive landscape to inform category management decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in category management or analytics roles within the CPG industry.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Experience with Walmart Luminate and sales analytics is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
