A leading manufacturer of automotive production and lab testing equipment, is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our advanced equipment, which includes dynamic balancing machines, tire and wheel uniformity testers, bead seating equipment, precision gear testing machines, and more.
**This is a traveling position. US and Intl travel up to 80% after first 6 months.
**OTE is approx 30% additional on top of base salary with OT/Travel time = 100k - 115k/ year
Responsibilities:
Install and set up automotive production and lab testing equipment at client locations.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on equipment.
Provide technical support and training to clients.
Maintain service records and documentation.
Travel to client sites as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field (preferred)
Proven experience in a field service role, preferably in the automotive industry.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs, Mitsubishi, and Pro face controls.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
