We a the leading manufacturer of precast concrete products for the Industrial, Retail, Residential, Mixed Use, and Institutional markets in and around the Chicagoland markets. We also provide erection of all products produced.
We help plan and produce precast concrete projects throughout the Midwest. We serve partners in project design and all those who oversee construction for commercial, institutional or public building sites.
This position is responsible for working with the Plant Manager to ensure compliance with safety, quality and costs for the plant.
Responsibilities
- Identify areas and recommend solutions to cut cost in overtime hours, labor, overhead and materials
- Perform and report time studies to upper management
- Have the ability to assess a situation and recommend changes to achieve goals
- Conducts daily activities in a manner which promotes plant productivity and reliability
- Review production practices to determine causes of nonconformity with product specification and recommend solutions
- Assist Plant Manager with development and implementation of production improvements
- Document and conduct proper investigations on Safety and Disciplinary action
- Provide material take - offs for future projects
- Attend and participate in weekly Safety and quality meetings
General Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar
- Excellent computer skills required, proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to read/interpret construction documents such as piece parts and shop drawings
- Ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize activities and meet established deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
