Based in Houston, TX, we're a fire protection and safety equipment designer, manufacturer and distributor. Currently, we are looking for a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
Review submittals for designs, in detail
Understand and perform basic layouts
Produce "construction ready" drawings
Understand and design basic wiring diagrams
Produce P&ID's, Piping isometrics, general arangements, construction drawings and more
Build our CAD Library through routine design processes
What You Need for this Position
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of CAD Design in a related industry - Oil & Gas (mechanical, piping and plan design, fire protection)
Experience with the design if piping and structural fabrication
Experience designing skid structures
Fabricated pipe spool design
Knowledge in welding WPs and PQRs (forming & shaping)
Inventor experience
AutoCAD (2D/3D)
Strong Word & Excel experience
Strong communication and project management experience is a PLUS
Knowledge of these types of system is a plus - fire water distribution/fire fumps/ sprinkler systems/foam systems/clean agent fire suppression/Dry chemical systems/ fire detection systems, smoke detection, alarm systems, PLC
