We are looking to bring on an electrical engineer that will oversee all the electrical and instrumentation upgrades and maintain all of the equipment across multiple of our sites. This person will also lead all electrical and instrumentation projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading electrical and instrumentation projects from design to full project execution.
- Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment. (AutoCAD).
- Collaborating with other engineers and plant personnel for trouble shooting repairs and future projects.
- To ensure operating and installation standards are met for electrical and instrumentation systems by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
- Perform the necessary detailed calculations in preparing standards, designs, and plans.
- Ensuring compliance with standards, specifications, and codes, by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment and systems are in a safe and proper operable condition.
- Preparing reports and compiling data with existing and potential electrical engineering projects.
- Developing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
- Supervising and training plant personnel and project team members.
- Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for capital projects and budget preparation.
- Diagnosing and solving electrical problems.
- Working closely with others to install, service, calibrate, and update electrical systems.
- Developing and testing electrical system prototypes or simulated events and making equipment or controls modifications when needed.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge and experience in designing medium and low voltage systems (12470v to 24v)
- Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E.
- Designing experience with PLC cabinets, MCC and Switchboards.
- Requires 10 year's experience in Electrical Engineering in an industrial environment.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and or electrical engineering technology degree from an accredited school.
- Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software.
- Knowledge of applicable codes related to electrical engineering.
- Able to manage several projects at one time.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
