About Us: We are a prominent law firm in Albuquerque, providing legal services to clients in New Mexico and the Southwest. We represent a diverse range of clients, including counties, municipalities, political subdivisions of the State of New Mexico, public boards, committees, elected officials, and public employees.

Position Summary: We are seeking an Attorney with at least 1 year of experience in state and/or government law. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting government entities in the day-to-day administration of their affairs, providing legal counsel on a broad range of issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise and assist government entities in their daily operations and legal matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ordinances, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in legal proceedings, including litigation, hearings, and administrative actions.
Conduct legal research and provide counsel on compliance with state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal issues affecting government clients.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in the State of New Mexico.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in state and/or government law.
Experience working with government entities on legal matters.
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively.

Preferred Attributes:

Familiarity with New Mexico state law and regulations.
Experience representing public boards, committees, or elected officials.
